I have sent three of these cakes to family and friends, and they were huge hits! The most recent one I sent I was very late placing the order and was about to miss the birthday of a very close friend. Send-a-cake responded in 24 hours, and the surprise arrived on my friend's birthday! I have sent three different ones, and they were all terrific. One thing could be improved, if possible. The butterflies definitely do not get airborne like the ads. Still pretty good, especially if the recipient has not seen the ads.

Honestly, all around a great experience. My friend lives in a different state but traditionally we have spent birthdays together. The tracking was very up to date so I was able to alert her to the package at her front door and get her to open it on a video call. The presentation of the box was great and when she removed the lid and mechanical butterflies flew all over her office we laughed hard than I have in years. The flowers and cake were really pretty All in all a home run birthday idea for anyone!

I wasn't there, but did watch a video of it. It was wonderful! My Aunt (recipient) said she had never seen anything like this before (& she is 88 yrs old). I wanted soemthing different & it was. I did think the flowers were going to be real (she said they were silk flowers) but it was still very nice. She also said the cake was very good. It was moist & strawberry flavor. She was pretty tickled w/ it & so were all the other guests that attened her 88th birthday party.

The options are great! It would be cool to have more options than butterflies. I have used those on several orders, and while they are loved, it would be great to have something else to choose from this year. I could suggest birds like ravens for Halloween, or a dove for birthdays, anniversaries, or humming bird for spring...it would be easy to just change the color or the butterfly....thanks! Love the whole package!

My daughter in law was very surprised when she opened her box. And was thrilled at the beauty of the contents including her cake. It was truly a unique experience.

I sent this to my mom who had recently fallen and broken her arm we live about 1000 miles away from one another, so I sent her the exploding cake with the butterflies and she cried. She absolutely loved it.

Our family member celebrated a big birthday and we wanted to help her celebrate with the red velvet cake that spewed roses and butterflies. She told us that she laughed when she opened the box and sent us pictures with her profuse thanks. The cake arrived on time and in perfect shape.

The cake was for my sister's retirement. When she opened the box (and after some colorful language) the butterflies flew and she loved it. Thank you for giving me a way to celebrate her retirement.

Everything was exactly as advertised if not better than expected. I sent this to my daughter for her 31st birthday and she absolutely loved it. The surprise was so cute with the butterflies and flowers, and the cake was so delicious. I highly recommend, they are legitimately amazing!!

I sent the birthday butterfly one to my mom for her 70th birthday and it was so fun!
